Neighbourhood Watch Australasia – Grant Opportunity

Overview

This grant opportunity was announced as part of the Grants to Australian Organisations Program – Criminal Justice program (GAOP). The purpose of the grant opportunity is to provide funding to Neighbourhood Watch Australasia to enhance community safety and security by reducing street crime, violence and anti-social behaviour and to reduce fear of crime and increase feelings of safety in the Australian community, contributing to greater community resilience. The grant will support Neighbourhood Watch Australasia’s core functions, including a continuation of initiatives under the current Safer Australia for Everyone (SAFE) program. The initiatives under SAFE are rolled out nationally with an aim to reduce and prevent crime in Australia. The objectives of the grant opportunity are to: deliver crime prevention/detection activities and support law enforcement efforts build capacity and connection between Neighbourhood Watch Organisations nationally. The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are: safer, connected and inclusive communities local communities are engaged in the development of innovative, localised crime prevention and detection measures.
