Overview

The 2025 Partnerships for culturally safe cancer care grant program supports innovative, community-informed approaches to accelerate the delivery of culturally safe, accessible, and responsive cancer care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The aim of the program is to improve cancer outcomes and experiences for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through enhancing the delivery of culturally safe care in mainstream cancer services. The program funds partnerships between mainstream cancer services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations to enhance culturally safe and responsive care in cancer services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Applications are open to mainstream cancer services (public or private) working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations. Grants of up to $700,000 over two years (2025-26 to 2026-27) are available. The program aligns with priority actions in the Australian Cancer Plan and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cancer Plan.
