Grants in Aid Program 2025-26 to 2027-28
Department of Finance
Overview
The Grants in Aid Program (the ‘Program’), administered by Finance, is a closed non-competitive grant program. The objective of the Program is to provide funding to non-government organisations that undertake work in science, humanities, public policy, animal welfare or the promotion of acts of bravery or heroism across Australia. The Program supports non-government organisations to undertake nationally significant work in science, humanities or public policy, and the promotion of acts of bravery or heroism across Australia. The Program also supports activities that inform or advise the Australian Government. Program recipients have been determined through decisions of the Australian Government. Access to the Program is limited to specific non-government organisations and is dependent upon their ongoing compliance and adherence to all eligibility criteria and reporting requirements. Non-government organisations that are not existing Program recipients, cannot apply as the Program is closed to new applicants.
