Overview

This grant opportunity enables the organisation to submit a proposal for the delivery of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet.  The purpose of this grant opportunity is to continue the administration of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet and focus area activities. The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet makes available information and resources to support the delivery of, and access to, high quality, culturally appropriate health care and services to First Nations people. The HealthInfoNet is a research centre housed within Edith Cowan University. Some work and operational/administrative funding is provided by the Edith Cowan University; with other funding provided for specified components of the HealthInfoNet by the department and other funding partners.  The General Objective of the grant opportunity is to inform practice and support the delivery of high quality, culturally appropriate health care and services to First Nations people through the maintenance and provision of the HealthInfoNet website and associated resources.  Operational core funding is provided to update and maintain the HealthInfoNet, an online facility that makes information on First Nations health easily accessible.  Topic specific funding is provided to allow enhancements and focus on identified areas (Alcohol and other drugs; and environmental health) which may otherwise be absent from or diminished in the HealthInfoNet.  There are three areas of funding within this grant opportunity.  To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left hand side.
