Overview

The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPS Program) supports people whose mental illness severely affects their ability to function day-to-day and can benefit from support that meets their individual needs. Psychosocial services aim to increase participants’ ability to live independently in the community and achieve their recovery goals through a range of non-clinical, community-based, individual and group supports.  On 11 May 2021, the Australian Government announced $171.3 million over two years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2023 for the CPS Program. The CPS Program will support new and existing Commonwealth clients with severe mental illness and associated reduced psychosocial functional capacity, who are not accessing similar supports through services funded by states or territories, or the National Disability Insurance Scheme.  Included in the 2021-22 Budget for the continuation of the CPS Program was an additional allocation to fund One Door in the Ulladulla and Nowra regions.  The One Door grant opportunity will support people living with complex mental illness to access psychosocial activities and to test eligibility for the NDIS in the Ulladulla and Nowra regions.  To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "GO Documents" button on the left hand side.
