Emergency Aged Care Support and Transition Funding in Wadeye – Port Keats
Department of Health and Aged Care
Overview
This Grant Opportunity is to provide one-off emergency funding to ensure that aged care services are maintained to aged care recipients in Wadeye and surrounding communities, in the Northern Territory. The intended outcome of the grant funding is to support the delivery of safe and quality aged care service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The outgoing service provider for Thamarrurr Flexible Aged Care Service will cease all aged care activities on 31 December 2019. This grant activity will fund Thamarrurr Development Corporation to provide aged care services from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020 during an initial period of transition. This grant opportunity is necessary to ensure the continuity of aged care services and to mitigate serious risk to care recipients; and to assist in the transition of services to an alternate aged care service provider.
