Overview

This Grant Opportunity is to provide one-off emergency funding to ensure that aged care services are maintained to aged care recipients in the Kuba Natha Hostel, on Mornington Island. The intended outcome of the grant funding is to support the delivery of safe and quality aged care service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This grant opportunity will address malfunctioning hot and cold water systems at the Kuba Natha Hostel. The work is essential to ensuring continuity of aged care services in unforeseen circumstances and to ensure the provision of a reliable water supply (especially hot water) which is essential to the health, safety and well-being of care recipients and staff. If the water system is not replaced and repaired immediately, this will result in serious risk.  This grant opportunity is necessary to ensure the continuity of aged care services and to mitigate serious risk to care recipients; and to assist in the transition of services to an alternate aged care service provider.
