Health Workforce Program - Aged Care Nursing and Allied Health Dementia Scholarships

Overview

This grant opportunity will expand the Aged Care Nursing Scholarship Program with scholarships to support personal care workers, nurses and allied health practitioners intending to study Dementia Care. The 2021-22 Budget Measure - Growing a Skilled and High-Quality Workforce to Care for Senior Australians, announced $26.154 million to invest in a skilled aged care workforce. The Aged Care Nursing component will allow for a minimum of 1200 places over three years for personal care workers and nurses to study Dementia Care. The allied health component will allow for a minimum of 300 places over three years for allied health professionals to study Dementia Care.
