Improving Health Outcomes

Overview

The Australian Government is continuing its commitment to ensuring that there is a reduction in the incidence of preventable mortality and morbidity, including through national public health initiatives, promotion of healthy lifestyles and approaches covering disease prevention, health screening and palliative care. The program contributes to the department’s outcome 1: Health Policy, Access and Support, Program 1.5: Preventative Health Chronic Disease Support and is aligned with the National Preventative Health Strategy 2021-2030. This grant opportunity was announced as part of the 2024-25 Federal Budget.  The purpose of this grant opportunity is to continue support and intervention activities for chronic conditions within the Improving Health Outcomes in the Public Health and Chronic Disease Program.  Funding will be made available through four activities: Activity one: Health professionals education resources Activity two: Continue and enhance the National Epilepsy Line (NEL) Activity three: Education and training for health professionals Activity four: Young adults’ program To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left-hand side.
