Indigenous Employment Initiative (IEI) Program 2024-25 to 2025-26

Overview

The Indigenous Employment Initiative (IEI) grant opportunity creates employment opportunities for First Nations people and provides culturally safe and trauma informed aged care services to older First Nations people.  The objectives of the grant opportunity are to: ensure that First Nations people are offered employment and training opportunities in their regional and remote communities in entry level aged care positions provide training programs to develop a First Nations workforce that will provide high quality services and meet community need provide culturally safe aged care to older First Nations people on country and/or close to home improve the quality and access to aged care services for First Nations people support a First Nations workforce across Australia provide consistent and stable funding and certainty for the organisations in receipt of grant funding contribute to the Australian Government’s Closing the Gap targets by employing and training First Nations people in entry level aged care positions in their communities.
