National Aged Care Advocacy Program 2021/22 to 2024/25 Expansion
Department of Health and Aged Care
Overview
The National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) grant opportunity is to provide free, independent, confidential advocacy support to older people (including their families of choice and representatives) who are receiving or seeking to receive Commonwealth-funded aged care services, including people living with dementia and special needs groups as identified in the Aged Care Act 1997. Total funding for this grant opportunity is $138.23 million over four years from 2021-2022 through to 2024-2025. This includes the 2021-22 Budget funding for grant activities in addition to the existing program funding allocation inclusive of 2022-23 - 2024-25 financial years. The NACAP grant opportunity will improve access to face-to-face and virtual aged care advocacy for senior Australians including in outer metropolitan, rural, regional and remote areas, as well as for home care recipients and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
