National Clinical Centre for Research on Emerging Drugs Grant Opportunity

Overview

This grant opportunity will allow for the continuation of existing Commonwealth funding to NCCRED to support clinical research and treatment interventions with a particular focus on methamphetamine and new and emerging drugs. This funding was provided as part of the March 2022-23 Budget. This grant opportunity will allow for the consortium arrangement of NCCRED, which includes the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, the National Drug Research Institute, the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction and St Vincent’s Health to continue. The consortium will ensure a collaborative approach to detect and respond to trends focused on methamphetamine and emerging drugs of concern and to translate clinical research into best practice.
