Overview

The Administration and Delivery of Services for the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) grant opportunity will run over three (3) years from 2021-22 to 2023-24. The grant activity will include the overarching administration of the NDSS, ensuring the efficient and effective provision of products and services, and ensuring that the component parts of the scheme are managed effectively and as a fully integrated system. The Administration and Delivery of Services for the NDSS grant activity will include the whole of Scheme administration and national coordination through sub-contracting arrangements. The sub-contractors will include State and Territory Diabetes Organisations, the Australian Diabetes Educators Association, and the Australian Diabetes Society.  The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to: ensure that Australians with diabetes can access the subsidised products they require to self-manage their condition; provide support and assistance to Australians with diabetes to minimise the impact of this condition on their lives; ensure that administrative arrangements supporting the NDSS are efficient and effective; ensure that the products and services delivered under the NDSS are nationally consistent wherever possible, but tailored where required; and ensure that available resources are deployed in a manner that achieves the maximum benefit for Australians with diabetes.
