Primary Health Care Development Program: National Health Call Centre Network

Overview

As part of 2021-22 Budget the Australian Government has committed an additional $5.5 million to expand the existing National Health Call Centre Network, known as Healthdirect Australia Pty Ltd to include Victoria.  The Network aims to improve access to health services and provide accurate, trusted health information for Australian communities, particularly disadvantaged groups including those in rural and remote locations. The Network uses innovative technology solutions to increase access to health practitioners and manage the pressure on the health care system.
