Virtual Contraception Decision Support Tool

Overview

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to fund Healthdirect Australia to develop and host a virtual contraception decision support tool for consumers and health professionals. The tool will empower and support individuals by increasing their knowledge about contraceptive choices available in Australia. It will also address knowledge gaps and provide guidance for individuals to have a discussion with their health professional based on their circumstances and needs. The tool will also link to further existing resources on contraception for more detailed information. The development of the tool will be a collaboration between the Department of Health and Aged Care and Healthdirect Australia. The grant opportunity was announced as part of the 2024-25 Budget which allocated funds to support the development and hosting of a platform for a virtual contraception choice decision support tree For this grant opportunity up to $1.046 million is available over four years, commencing 2024/25.
