Overview

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide targeted temporary support for a small number of residential aged care services with specific characteristics that do not align with existing Base Care Tariff (BCT) categories under the current AN-ACC funding model, specifically: homes in isolated Modified Monash Model (MMM) MM3 locations that are receiving standard MM2-3 BCT funding but experience higher care costs due to their isolated location (eg, Kalgoorlie and Broken Hill) large homes with high occupancy in MM6-7 locations, which have a 24% BCT funding reduction for each bed above 29 beds services in MM1-3 locations with at least 50% Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander residents and experience higher costs compared with other MM1-3 services). The grant opportunity will be undertaken in the 2025-26 and 2026-27 financial years, and it is anticipated that successful applicants will be notified from late 2025. Funding payments are expected to commence from January 2026 and be paid quarterly in arrears thereafter.
