Overview

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision (MRV) to drive Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome (BMFS) research, education and support for patients, their families and carers. The grant opportunity aims to increase awareness of BMFS and improve access to information, education and resources for people living with this rare disease, their families and carers, health professionals, researchers and the wider population. BMFS is a complex and challenging medical condition, with limited resources and support options available for patients, their families and carers.  MRV will aid in addressing the significant health care needs of underdiagnosed and sub-optimally managed BMFS patients. It will deliver a systematic approach to case identification, provide ongoing educational and emotional support for patients and families, deliver training for healthcare practitioners to improve diagnostic accuracy and ensure the advancement of further BMFS research to improve patient outcomes through best practice clinical care, novel therapies, clinical trials and other breakthroughs.
