Overview

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to improve the provision of diagnosis, treatment and management of endometriosis and pelvic pain, and the treatment and management of perimenopause and menopause symptoms. This funding targets GP practices that currently deliver services with a focus on women’s health, including endometriosis, pelvic pain management, perimenopause and menopause. Funding will be provided to the existing 22 GP practices established as EPPCs to continue to support the operation of their EPPC and enhance their capability and capacity to support patients with endometriosis and pelvic pain, and perimenopause and menopause symptoms. It is expected that these clinics will enable appropriate endometriosis care and management, leading to improved diagnosis timeframes and appropriate pain management for impacted patients. EPPCs can also provide care, support, treatment and management of symptoms associated with menopause, including throughout the menopause transition (perimenopause) and post-menopause.
