Overview

The Australian Government is inviting organisations through a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services for 12 months under Program 2.5 – Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship, starting in May 2025. The Australian Government has announced funding of an additional $5 million to support the urgent needs of Palestinian and Muslim communities in Australia who have been affected by the conflict in the Middle East. This funding builds on the Government’s $25 million commitment announced in October 2023 to support Palestinian, Muslim and other communities in Australia affected by the conflict and humanitarian crisis in the Middle East. For this grant opportunity, a total funding amount of up to $450,000 GST exclusive is available for community support for Muslim youth. The components of the grant are: delivery of information, programs, courses and activities to support Muslim youth mentorship and leadership support for young Muslim Australians. The invited organisations have been identified as having specialist expertise, relationships and capacity to deliver services and projects that meet the outcomes outlined in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines. These measures are informed by community concerns.
