Australian Critical Minerals Research and Development Hub – Research Projects Grant opportunity

Overview

The Australian Critical Minerals Research and Development Hub – Research Projects program is part of establishment of the Australian Critical Minerals Research and Development Hubs. Under the program collaborative research projects will be delivered by the Hub partners, CSIRO, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) and Geoscience Australia, working with industry and research partners. Projects will: support the Critical Minerals Strategy and the National Critical Minerals Research and Development Priorities support the development of Australia’s ESG credentials in critical minerals mining and processing improve the access of small to medium critical mineral enterprises to technical knowledge on critical mineral extraction and processing bring online new technologies or techniques that strengthen and diversify critical mineral supply chains of strategic significance to Australia and Australia’s allies and partners increase the value secured by Australia from its critical minerals endowments develop or harness Intellectual Property (IP) relating to the Australian critical minerals sector support workplace gender equality and opportunities for First Nations researchers to be involved in your project. The intended outcomes of the program are: breakthroughs are achieved regarding priority technical challenges facing Australian critical mineral producers Australian critical mineral producers have access to knowledge, technology and IP on critical mineral extraction and processing projects targeting the development of technologies and IP can help strengthen and diversify identified critical mineral supply chains collaboration between Australian producers and domestic and international critical mineral partners can help strengthen and diversify identified critical minerals supply chains.
