National Science Week Support Activities Grant

Overview

The Inspiring Australia - Science Engagement Program (the program) provides funding for a range of initiatives delivered under the Inspiring Australia banner. Part of this program is National Science Week which provides opportunities to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists to the world of knowledge. It also aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits among the general public and to encourage younger people to be fascinated by the world we live in. National Science Week has been conducted annually since 1997 as a collaborative celebration of science and technology. To support National Science Week, another component of the program is the National Science Week Support Activities grant opportunity. This seeks to deliver: planning and coordination of the annual National Science Week meeting in consultation with the department. This includes organising attendance arrangements for representatives from the National Science Week Management Committee, State and Territory National Science Week Coordinating Committees and other delegates as agreed with the department  hosting, managing and maintaining the National Science Week website to maximise accessibility and user experience for event organisers, students and the general public.
