Net-Zero Industries Mission

Overview

The grant opportunity relates to delivery of the Mission Innovation (MI) Net-Zero Industries Mission (NZIM) which focuses on emissions reductions in heavy industries such as steel, cement and chemicals. These three sectors produce a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions. As a co-lead of MI NZIM, the Australian Government is committed to the delivery of the goals and the objectives of the NZIM. As part of Government’s commitment to international partnerships to progress low emissions technology, the Net-Zero Industries Mission grant provides funding to support the resourcing of Australia’s Net-Zero Industries Mission obligations. Grant objectives: successful implementation of Australia’s role as a co-lead of the MI Net-Zero Industries Mission successful delivery of the first four years of milestones as detailed in the Implementation plan development of the Net-Zero Industries Mission Road Map and Action Plan by September 2022, and delivery of the activities detailed implementation of activities that achieve the goals of the Net-Zero Industries Mission.
