National Land Transport Bodies Program - Commonwealth membership and work program contribution

Overview

This grant opportunity will run over 2 years 2024-25 to 2025-26. The activities for the program have been undertaken in 2024-25 with funding available in 2025-26. The program is to enable the Commonwealth to provide a financial contribution for its membership and/or to the work program of two national land transport bodies: Austroads Ltd and Transport Certification Australia Limited. The purpose of the program is to fund research programs and activities, that contribute to achieving improved and harmonised Australian road transport related outcomes. The program is the mechanism for the Commonwealth to make its annual funding contribution to land transport bodies. The objective of the program is to improve Australian road transport related outcomes and operations through the provision of research, guidance, specifications, tools and services relating to land transport operations. The intended outcomes of the program are to: develop and provide assurance services for use of transport technology and data that supports improvements in road safety, transport efficiency and freight productivity improve productivity, safety and environmental outcomes of road transport operations across jurisdictions.
