COVID-19 Regional Airline Network Support Program

Overview

The Regional Airline Network Support Program (the program) was announced as part of the Australian Government’s response to the economic impact of COVID-19 and in response to its unprecedented and likely sustained impact on the domestic airline industry. The objective of the program is to support critical air services to connect regional Australia to freight, medical testing, supplies and essential personnel according to the criteria in the Grant Guidelines. Domestic commercial airlines operating services at the Regular Public Transport (RPT) aviation safety standard to regional locations may apply to be considered for a grant during the period of the program. If approved, a grant agreement is entered into with the Department. The application and each claim will be assessed in order of receipt and against the assessment criteria outlined in the Guidelines.
