Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts
Overview
The Regional Growth Fund is a $272.2 million investment program to provide grants of $10 million or more for major transformational projects, which support long term economic growth and create jobs in regional and remote areas. Projects must be for common-use infrastructure or private use infrastructure that will deliver significant and sustainable benefits to the region by creating jobs and flow-on benefits to the economy. Projects will be assessed in two stages. The first stage will consist of an Initial Application to allow eligible applicants to submit projects for consideration without committing significant resources to developing a Full Business Case. Initial Applications will be assessed for eligibility and against the following merit criteria: 1. create jobs 2. drive economic growth 3. build stronger regional communities Following the Initial Application process, successful applicants will be asked to submit a Full Business Case (stage two) allowing for a value with relevant money assessment.
