Northern Territory Carers Register Update

Overview

The Australian Government is inviting an organisation via a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services under the Families and Communities Program in 2024–25. The purpose of the grant is to enable the Northern Territory Department of Children and Families to develop a consolidated carers register to address the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Response to Child Sexual Abuse. The carers register will consolidate data into a single repository of relevant and reliable carer information. Research and a gap analysis will also be undertaken to support the delivery of the carers register.
