Stronger Places, Stronger People 2025-2029
Department of Social Services
Overview
The Australian Government is inviting applications via a restricted process to implement the Stronger Places, Stronger People (SPSP) initiative in the selected regions from 2025 to 2029. The SPSP initiative is an established grant program that has been running from 2019–20 to 2024–25. This new grant opportunity will continue the SPSP initiative for a further 4 years from 2025–26 to 2028–29. This grant opportunity is to fund the further extension and enhancement of the initiative that was announced as part of the Targeting Entrenched Disadvantage 2023–24 budget measures. The SPSP initiative is a component of Outcome 2.1.1 Families and Communities Program / Families and Children within the Department of Social Services Portfolio Budget Statement. The SPSP initiative contributes to the achievement of the Families and Children Activity by seeking to demonstrate that place-based, collective impact practice can create better outcomes for children and their families and disrupt disadvantage in participating communities over time.
