Overview

The Australian Government is inviting organisations via an open competitive process to apply for an 18-month pilot period to deliver services in Australia under the Support for Trafficked People Program (STPP) which contributes to the Department of Social Services’ Outcome 2 – Program 2.1 Families and Communities – 2.1.2 Family Safety. It supports National Strategic Priority 3: Support and Protect of the National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020-25 and aligns with the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032. The Support for Trafficked People Program: Additional Referral Pathway is a grant opportunity that will provide $2 million (GST exclusive) to an organisation (or consortia of organisations) to undertake an assessment of eligibility and make subsequent referrals to the STPP for eligible victim-survivors of human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices. The aim of this grant is to provide access to the STPP for victim-survivors who meet the eligibility criteria, however do not wish to engage with the Australian Federal Police for referral.
