1,000 Jobs Package Grant Funding Round

Overview

The Australian Government is subsidising 1,000 new jobs for Community Development Program participants in remote Australia to support economic development.  Tranche One of the 1,000 Jobs Package grant funding round will provide an initial opportunity for up to 200 new jobs to be created.   Tranche One will remain open from 1 September 2019 to 30 December 2019 or until 200 positions are fully allocated.   Positions will be:  Subsidised up to the minimum wage of $19.49 (based on the 2019-2020 minimum wage). Subsidised up to 38 hours per week for up to 46 weeks per year, with the subsidy tapering in the second year to 50 per cent with additional retention bonuses.   Positions must be:  New and ongoing  Full-time or Part-time At least 15 hours per week on average
