National Contribution

Overview

The purpose of the National contribution from the Australian Government is to mark the occasion of the October 2024 Royal Visit to Australia, by His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla.  This grant contributes to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's Administered State Occasion and Official Visits Program. The objectives of the grant are: To deliver a customary gift by the Australian Government to mark the significant Royal occasion as part of the Administered State Occasion and Official Visits Program.  This aligns with the precedence for gifts on behalf of Australia to members of the Royal Family.  To contribute to the outcomes of the Administered State Occasion and Official Visits Program, building positive relationships with Australia's interests.  The intended outcomes of the grant are: To align with the Government announcement made on 23 October 2024 by the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia. To mark the October 2024 Royal Visit with an Australian Government $10,000 National contribution on behalf of all Australians and to maintain and build stronger relationships with Australia's interests as part of the Administered State Occasion and Official Visits Program.  To provide a contribution that has an impactful connection to the special occasion and supports the well-being of Australian communities, or conserves Australia's natural landscapes or wildlife.
