Overview
Queensland households not covered by council waste-collection levy payments (households with a commercial private waste collection, or a commercial council waste collection at a mixed residential/commercial premises) can apply for assistance under the Household Waste Payment Scheme to offset the cost of household waste going to landfill. Applications are open for financial years commencing up to 30 June 2026; applications for years from 1 July 2026 will open soon.
