Overview

These grant opportunity guidelines contain information about the RHMT to provide funding to establish a new medical school program in Cairns, Queensland under James Cook University (JCU) and to provide 20 commencing medical Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) connected to this rural medical school campus. This opportunity is open only to the organisation listed at section 4.1. Noting JCU has commenced this project in 2023 by self-funding through the 2023 academic year, the number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) outlined in this document are the total available to JCU through the whole project and no further places have been approved. Each funded activity will have clear, measurable and meaningful Performance Indicators (PIs) included in the grantee’s standard grant agreement that are consistent with the objectives and intended outcomes of the grant opportunity (refer to Appendix A – Core Requirements). The activity will be measured against a set of PIs. PIs for each successful grantee will be negotiated ahead of entering into a grant agreement.   For full description of the grant opportunity please refer to GO6952 - Grant Opportunity Guidelines.   To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left-hand side.
