Overview

The Government is investing $30.5 million in the PFP pilot, which will run over two years from 2023-24 and replace the More Doctors for Rural Australia Program (MDRAP). The PFP will support non-vocationally recognised (non-VR) doctors to gain valuable General Practice (GP) experience prior to joining a GP college pathway, work in primary care and remain in rural and remote communities. It will support opportunities for IMGs requiring level 1 supervision to work in small rural primary care practices and ensure the future health workforce is both skilled and has access to training in a safe practice environment.  To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left-hand side.
